Pacific ParkŪ is seeking qualified candidates for the following: GAMES SUPERVISOR
SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Assistant Games Manager & Sr. Games & Retail Manager the Games Supervisor will assist with the planning, organization, and implementation of the interview, selection, training, skill testing, and supervising of seasonal line-staff in the Games Department.
Due to the hours and seasonal nature of Pacific Park, the supervisor is required to work weekends; the supervisor coordinates the departments weekly schedule based on current demands and in coordination with the work schedules of subordinates. The supervisor must be willing to work flexible hours; most often five days a week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (additional duties may be assigned):
Weekly inventory of each games stock. Provide Assistant Games Manager & Sr. Games & Retail Manager of each games inventory weekly. Ability to explain cost of goods issues and ideas on how we can improve revenues and operation through product selection.
Insure that proper staffing levels are maintained at all times. Act in advance of special situations (difficult staffing periods, large crowds, and special events) by establishing special schedules in advance.
Maintain an adequate supply of stock in game locations. Communicate stock needs to the Assistant Games Manager & Sr. Games & Retail Manager for items not kept in the warehouse.
Insure that backrooms are clean and orderly.
Make sure that all stands and fixtures are stocked properly, displayed attractively, and kept clean.
Develop and train subordinates. Inform your crew of daily events, sales goals, specials, and operational opportunities.
Minimize downtime by maintaining all mechanical equipment and assure necessary preventive maintenance is performed. Communicate maintenance problems to Maintenance, Assistant Games Manager & Sr. Games & Retail Manager, and Park Duty Manager.
Review the performance of seasonal leads as necessary. In addition, monitor seasonal leads and line employees for wardrobe and company policy violations.
Handle Guest complaints
Coordinate departments theft control and deterrence. Communicate any issues to the Manager of Resale
Education: High school graduate, one to two year-related experience in retail / games environment and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
